Welcome to Nature's Playground
Welcome to my website. My name is David and I plan to introduce you to the fun world of nature.
With so much going on inside, the world has become very isolated. Too often people view nature on HD televisions even though they could be standing in nature themselves. Perhaps the reason people are unwilling to step outside is a lack of activities. Is it easy to sit on the couch and watch t.v.? yes. Is it rewarding? Certainly not.
I'm designing this website to show you all the fun that can be had in nature right in your own backyard. Anyone with young children will also love this website because I will have an entire section dedicated to kid's crafts. Right now this site is small, but I hope you will enjoy it for what it is and learn something fun while you're here.

Seasonal Wreath
Here is a fun little project, the first of many. This is great for a family with younger children. Find a nature trail in your area that allows visitors to take fallen leaves, twigs, and pine cones. Then, purchase a little nature handbook with facts about different types of trees. Bring your children to to the trail and have them pick up leaves and branches and pine cones from the trail. As you go along, teach the kids about the trees. Depending on their age, you could tell them things ranging from the names of the trees, to why they have certain properties, and even how they absorb nutrients. Once the kids have gathered their favorite things, bring them home and cut one piece of green construction per child into a doughnut shape. Help the children apply their items to the construction paper with clear glue or tape. Once they are done, each child will have a seasonal wreath. This is a great project for any time of year that is both fun and educational.
